Your Pictures Mean (At Least) One Thousand Words

by | Jul 7, 2013 | Personal Injury |

Pictures can make all the difference in your personal injury case. Pictures of your damaged car can show how violent the crash was. Pictures of your bruises, lacerations, cuts, or other injuries may show how painful the impact was to your body. These images carry great weight with your lawyer, the insurance company, a jury, and a judge, and may sway a case in your favor.

If you have been injured in a collision, it may be a year or two before you could present your claim to an insurance adjuster or to a jury. Within that time period, you may have recovered from your injuries and your vehicle was likely repaired or replaced. However, the images of the collision and your injuries can last indefinitely. They may make the difference between your case being settled pre-suit or incurring the additional time and costs in presenting your case to a jury.

The effectiveness of photographic evidence varies from case-to-case but the only way to preserve each picture’s potential is to capture it as soon as possible and to keep the images between you and your attorney.
